Abstract: The paper aims to conduct comparative analysis of the three widely used empirical methods (growth accounting, growth regression and growth diagnostics) for economic growth estimations. Pros and cons of each empirical method were determined. The conceptual framework of Azerbaijan`s empirical growth model was discussed too.
