The Monetary Policy and Financial Stability Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a collegial body that regulates and coordinates activities of Central Bank’s structural units engaged in the development and implementation of the monetary and exchange rate policy, regulation and supervision of financial markets. Committee meetings issue recommendations for the Management Board on the operational framework of the monetary and exchange rate policy, parameters of monetary policy tools, the macro- and micro prudential policy based on deep and comprehensive analysis of financial stability risks, and decisions related to the management and regulation of probable crisis situations, as well as takes relevant decisions except for the issues not related to authorities of the Management Board. The Governor of the Central Bank chairs the Committee. The Committee membership includes heads of structural units of the Central Bank directly involved in the development and implementation of the monetary, exchange rate and financial stability policies.
