On November 14, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted an important event on “Global Financial System: Scaling Up Financing for Climate Action” during COP29 Finance, Investment and Trade Day.
Convening leaders from the public and private sectors, including Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs), private investors, and country authorities, the event will focus on accelerating climate finance efforts and mobilizing resources to support the green transition on a scale needed to meet the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
On November 14, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan and IFC organized the event titled "Advancing Sustainable Finance across the Globe: Roadmap towards Interoperability and Comparability of Sustainable Finance Taxonomies". Scheduled for Finance, Investment and Trade Day, this event facilitated discussions on advancing the green transition through increasing the alignment of sustainable finance frameworks worldwide.
