3 October 2019, Baku: To celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Central Banking in Azerbaijan and the 20 year anniversary of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan founded by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and to perpetuate both jubilee histories the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued to circulation an AZN5 denominated silver commemorative coin.
The weight of the silver commemorative coin dedicated to these remarkable historical events is 1 troy ounce – 31.1 gr (± 0.1 gr), diameter – 38.61 mm. The coins were minted at the ‘The Royal Mint’ of Great Britain on proof-based technology.
The face of the coin dedicated to the 100 year anniversary of central banking depicts an image of the Central Bank's HQ against the parabola lines that reflect economic development, the words and signature of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, while the back depicts the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the symbol of the Azerbaijani manat and national patterns and ornaments.
The face of the coin dedicated to the 20 year anniversary of the State Oil Fund depicts the HQ and the logo of the Fund, the words ‘The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan’ and ’20 years’ in Azerbaijani and English, while the back depicts the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as national patterns and ornaments.
The commemorative coins are a legal tender in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan at its face value.
