23 November 2021, Baku: The 50 manat banknote issued to circulation by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan won the ‘Best Applied Security Product’ category at the Excellence in Holography Awards 2021, which was presented by the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) at this year’s virtual Holography Conference (17-18 November).

The Rolling Star Lead hologram and 3D elements exclusively created in line with the motif of the banknote (Education and future) has been selected the securest element against counterfeiting.

At the same time, relevance of the motif of the banknote dedicated to ‘Education and future’, a synchronic combination of the images on it (the symbol of future – the Sun, the symbol of rising – Stairs, key categories of education – Educational Institution, Pupil, Student) with the most progressive security elements and eye-catching dynamics of colors were especially emphasized.

Now the renewed 50 manat banknote is in parallel circulation with the old one.
