14 April 2022, Baku: Taleh Tahir Kazimov, appointed as the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 13 April 2022, was introduced to the Central Bank staff.
Introducing the new Governor Natig Amirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Department of Economic Policy and Industrial Issues of the Presidential Administration spoke of the life and work experience of Taleh Kazimov.
N.Amirov brought to everybody’s attention sustainable socio-economic development of the country under the leadership of Mr Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, macroeconomic and financial stability, critical reforms under way in the financial system as in all areas and their results.
Noting that the financial sector is essential for the country economy, N. Amirov drew everybody’s attention to the challenges related to the development of the said area in line with the ‘Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic development’ and gave recommendations.
T.Kazimov thanked the Head of State and the Parliament for the trust.
He highlighted that, he would ensure proper implementation of the targets of safeguarding macroeconomic and financial stability; pursuing the monetary policy to support sustainable economic growth; the financial system development; further strengthening the e-payments ecosystem; ongoing improvement of the quality of cash circulation and others; further deepening of reforms and providing every Azerbaijani citizen with qualitative financial, banking, and insurance services and capital markets.
