27 July 2022, Baku: The Central Bank upgraded the design of the 10, 20 and 50 gapik metal coins adding the Coat of Arms and the release year onto the coins. The renewed 20 gapik metal coin has been put into circulation since December last year.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan is announcing that it will issue to circulation the 10 and 50 gapik metal coins with upgraded design.

The technical parameters of the upgraded metal coins have been left unchanged in line with the same denomination metal coins.

We inform you that upgraded metal coins will be in parallel circulation with the currency of the same denomination and used as a legal tender.
