Central Bank issues e-money institution, payment institution and payment system operator licenses to relevant institutions
Baku, 18 September 2024: The Central Bank is considering applications from institutions to obtain payment service licenses in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Payment Services and Payment Systems”. As part of the ongoing process, the Central Bank Management Board decided to issue a perpetual e-money institution license to K Group LLC, payment institution licenses to ‘M.A.X Sistemləri Plyus’ LLC and Cibpay LLC, and e-money institution and payment system operator licenses to Azericard LLC on 12 September 2024.
The evaluation of other applications for payment service licenses keeps going. The Central Bank will publish updated information on payment service licenses on its official website.
