19 March 2026, Baku: –  In accordance with Article 105.1.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Insurance Activities (the “Law”), the validity of the license granted to AtaSığorta Open Joint Stock Company for insurance activities has been limited from March 19, 2026 by canceling the permits granted to AtaSığorta Open Joint Stock Company for the Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability of Motor Vehicle Owners, Casco Insurance of Motor Vehicles, Voluntary Insurance of Civil Liability of Motor Vehicle Owners, Insurance of Property against Fire and Other Risks, Individual Accident Insurance, Voluntary Medical Insurance, Travel Insurance, Insurance of Civil Liability to Third Parties, “Compulsory Insurance of Real Estate, Compulsory Insurance of Civil Liability Related to the Exploitation of Real Estate and Compulsory Insurance of Professional Liability of Auditors, on the basis of a voluntary application.

According to Article 105.3 of the Law, when an insurer's license is limited, the insurer is prohibited from concluding new insurance contracts or extending the term of existing contracts for the relevant type of insurance.
