16 June 2026, Baku: An international webinar titled "Open Banking: Azerbaijan Experience," was held, organized by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and with the participation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the webinar, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan's Open Banking implementation is faster and more effective than many international examples. The rapid participation of all banks in the ecosystem and their active operation on the platform demonstrates the strong support for digital transformation and the benefits of Open Banking in the country, from both regulatory authorities and market participants.
These results and the successful cooperation model have increased international interest in Azerbaijan's experience. This interest has led to active participation from different countries in the webinar and extensive discussions on the topic.
The webinar presented the work that went into creating and developing Open Banking functionality in Azerbaijan, the results that were achieved, and the prospects for transitioning to the Open Finance concept.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided on the business and technical aspects of Open Banking functionality, applied solutions, and the regulatory framework. Questions from the participants were answered, and opinions were shared on the topic.
Thus, more than 170 delegates from various countries received detailed information about Azerbaijan's experiences and approaches in Open Banking.
At the end of the event, participants were given methodological materials and presentation documents related to Open Banking.
