13 July 2026, Baku: The Ceentral Bank continues its awareness initiatives for media representatives aimed at increasing the knowledge and awareness of media representatives on current topics on the agenda of central banking and the financial sector.
The next event held in this context was a training titled “Cybersecurity Challenges in the Financial Sector”, which was organized on the eve of National Press Day.
During the training, a Central Bank representative provided detailed information on common fraud schemes in the financial sector, current cyber fraud trends, and prevention methods. Using real examples, they highlighted the risks observed in banking and payment services, social engineering methods, and the threats posed by disinformation. They also presented points that media representatives should pay attention to when covering such cases. Practical recommendations were also presented on strengthening the personal cybersecurity of media representatives and protecting information sources.
The Central Bank considers raising public awareness of financial and cybersecurity issues to be one of its priorities, and it will continue its educational initiatives in this area.
