10 September 2026, Baku: Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazimov met with a World Bank (WB) delegation led by Rolande Pryce, the bank’s regional director for the South Caucasus.

The meeting focused on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WB, progress in implementing measures outlined under the Country Partnership Framework, ongoing investment projects and prospects for future cooperation. 

Kazimov congratulated Sacha Backes, the WB’s newly appointed country manager for Azerbaijan, and wished him success in his new role.

The officials also discussed cooperation between the Central Bank and the WB, including ongoing technical assistance projects.
