11 September 2026, Baku: The Central Bank hosted a meeting of the Macroeconomic Sustainability Working Group, which oversees implementation of the 2022–2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The group reviewed monitoring and evaluation results for 15 measures approved under three areas of activity aimed at strengthening Resilience to Internal and External Impacts.
Aliyar Mammadyarov, the Central Bank’s First Deputy Governor and Chairman of the working group, outlined progress under the strategy and highlighted initiatives undertaken by the Central Bank.
Central Bank officials, working group members and representatives of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication discussed the implementation of the measures, this year’s monitoring and evaluation results, achievements to date and issues that require further attention.
The meeting also outlined next steps to improve the effectiveness of the measures.
Representatives of the Central Bank, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Justice, the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Mortgage and Credit Guarantee Fund, the Deposit Insurance Fund and the Agricultural Insurance Fund attended the meeting.
The Macroeconomic Sustainability Working Group was established by Cabinet of Ministers Order No. 487s on 12 June 2023 to help implement measures under the 2022–2026 Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and coordinate the work of relevant government agencies.
