19 June 2025, Baku: The Central Bank organized the next training session for media representatives, focusing on the topic, "The Role of the Central Bank in Protecting the Rights of Financial Services Consumers."
During the training held within the framework of the “Human Rights Month”, representatives from the Central Bank discussed key aspects of their efforts to safeguard the rights of consumers of financial services, the legal and institutional framework established in this area, and the processes for addressing citizen appeals and contemporary approaches employed.
The training presented important points regarding investigating written and oral appeals from citizens, as well as ensuring access to information, within the framework of protecting the rights of consumers of financial services.
During the presentation, questions from media representatives were answered and information was presented on existing opportunities and the process of managing citizen applications based on practical examples.
It is worthy of mention that, pursuant to the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 18, 2007, June 18 was designated as Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the decision of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the period from May 18 to June 18 is celebrated as "Human Rights Month" every year. Various initiatives are held during this period to promote legal thinking and legal culture in society and to raise public awareness about achievements and challenges in the field of human rights protection.
