Azerbaijan Central Bank and Sudan Central Bank sign Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation

The Central Banks of Azerbaijan and Sudan signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen the legal and institutional foundations of cooperation, expand their mutual relations, and promote the exchange of advanced knowledge and experience in central banking between the organisations. The Memorandum will facilitate deeper cooperation in the areas of monetary policy, the financial sector, payment systems, financial technologies, banking supervision, and the prevention of the legalization of criminally acquired property and the financing of terrorism.

Second meeting of Turkic Central Bank Council concludes in Baku

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan hosted the second meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). The Council convened later at the Central Bank’s new HQs, with participation from OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, a delegation from the National Bank of Kazakhstan, senior officials from the central banks of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, as well as governors from Hungary and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as observers.

Central Banks of Azerbaijan and Hungary sign Cooperation Memorandum

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan and the Central Bank of Hungary signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation (MoU) on the sidelines of the Second Meeting of the Council of Central (National) Banks of the Member States of the Organization of Turkic States, held in Baku. The Mou establishes a framework for closer cooperation and knowledge-sharing in central banking. It is intended to support the exchange of expertise, best practices and technical experience between the two central banks.

Central Bank expands access to commemorative coin sales

9 July 2026, Baku: The Central Bank has expanded access to the sale of commemorative coins. From 10 July 2026, customers placing orders through the Central Bank's Online Sales System for Commemorative Coins (https://coin.e-cbar.az) will also be able to choose TuranBank OJSC or Bank of Baku OJSC as the collection point for their orders. Accordingly, in addition to serving as sales agents for the Central Bank's bullion coins, these banks have also been designated as sales agents for the Online Sales System for Commemorative Coins.
