A delegation led by Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, met with Timur Ishmetov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, as part of a working visit to Uzbekistan. Central Bank Governor met with a World Bank delegation

Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazimov met with a World Bank (WB) delegation led by Rolande Pryce, the bank’s regional director for the South Caucasus. Central Bank keeps interest rate corridor parameters unchanged

29 October 2026, Baku: The Management Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan decided to keep unchanged the refinancing rate at 6.5%, the floor of the interest rate corridor at 5% and the ceiling of the corridor at 7.5%. The Board took into account the dynamics of headline and core inflation, inflation expectations, and the balance of risks when deciding on the parameters of the interest rate corridor. It also considered developments in the foreign exchange market, changes in the liquidity position of the banking sector, and recent trends in global monetary conditions.
